I have a vw T5 I'm selling or wanting to part ex so I thought I would put it on here
2004 VW T5
112K
MOT
1 Previous owner
Service History
THE GOOD
New cam belt and water pump
New clutch and dual mass flywheel
New gearbox rebuild (bearings) - By Hardy Engineering Leatherhead
T5.1 Front End conversion
Body coloured rear bumper
THE BAD
Not a great deal really I have started to convert this into a camper so the inside is partially carpeted and I have the altro floor ready to go in and enough carpet to finish the roof panels etc , mechanically though the van drives very well , I guess the bad is getting carried away and thinking that I could complete 2 camper van conversions (I have a T2 also)
THE UGLY
The van is cosmetically challenged although all hope is not lost the N/S/F door has a large dent scrape , as does the sliding door N/S, N/S lower sill is damaged , Tailgate Dented , On the O/S its fairly straight but the O/S/R wheel arch has some signs of rust (light) this is because the 1/4 panel was replaced early in its life and the probably didn't use anti corrosion on the inner wheel arch ( or the previous owner didn't was the dirt from the arches) Front bumper slightly damaged.
I Work in a body shop and the damage is all repairable and not that bad obviously for me i Am able to repair my own vehicles on weekends etc so i wasn't too worried about the damage.
OVERVIEW
For me this was a perfect candidate for a T5 Camper however with my T2 still unfinished I'm lacking time for both vans , If you can do a bit of body work or know a friendly body shop the body items are not that bad , as the conversion has barely got of the ground you could still go full blown conversion etc and doing it yourself would cost a lot less that the 20,30and 40k T5's that are out there with even a potential for profit making in there too.
Im realistic with prices but i know what the van is worth and could be worth so please bear that in mind recent expenditure of mechanical repairs exceeds £2000 and the front end conversion parts without paint are approx £800
Recently sold on eBay at £6100 only to be let down by the 100% feedback buyer
happy to accept £5500 or an s2
Probably won't be of interest on here but thought i would try
