I like everything about it except the price.

Ive resprayed my avant, and the people that know me know my standard of work. To me the car looks spot on inc the paintwork from pictures. The only thing I don't like is the full colour coding of bumpers and trims.

I'm not sure what to make of the asking price, its worth as much as somebody's willing to pay I suppose. Looks very well presented in the pictures.

Difficult to value, they are all "expensive" now, and this is a low miler.

Colour coded lowers loses the originality for a high value collector car. You would want details of the paintwork at that price.

It would need to be viewed to get an idea of the condition, the engine bay has been freshened up.

Interior is not my taste!

A year or 5 before prices go up to this level. Although there are much fewer S2s for sale these days, most are priced well under 10k even for very nice ones. Remember when this was for sale not long ago for much less. Nice car with low miles but I couldn't live with those seats.

Could the paint from lower bumpers and side be removed to reveal the original black plastic finish?

It's a lovely car all in all but I just can't get over the paintwork for such low miles. The seller is a genuinely nice guy though fellas. Let's give him some air - probably why he hasn't posted here in the for sale section

Good luck to him selling it. I'd have though mid teens for this standard of car, however the seats and bumper painting may put off some buyers.

There's a lot of this 'put the price up if it doesn't sell' going on. I guess to hopefully catch a well off speculator at the right time.

S2'S have been undervalued for years and still are, Citroën 2cv, Ford Granada's and many other terrible cars are fetching over 10k up, this car looks nice but everybody here knows it's overpriced, who knows he might find a buyer but I don't think we are too many years off this sort of money. Glad I got mine 2 years ago and hope to keep it forever.
