Hi all,
For sale is my tuned 6 speed manual Audi S6 saloon.
Amethyst grey
135,000 miles – 7k since rebuild. Good amount of history.
Dynosheet showing 413hp and 398ft-Ibs of torque. She really is very fast indeed - the map would not have been possible without the uprated rods (engine build sheet further down)
10 months MOT
Very clean interior, black leather seats and carbon fibre dash inserts
Whilst in my ownership –which is since 2008:
All engine work carried out by Pete Berry from White Cottage Quattros - inc the engine rebuilt. He’s known this car since before my ownership.
MRC are reluctant to map older cars, but saw the quality of this build and went ahead.
I have receipts in excess of 12k for parts alone (these things aren't cheap to tune properly!).
Engine specs:
Uprated rods
Balanced bottom end
Lightweight flywheel
Sachs uprated organic clutch and pressure plate (nice normal feel to it).
Rebuilt head (new valve guides and stems).
RS2 exhaust manifold,
GT3071R with 4” opening and 0.63 exhaust housing
FMIC
Bosch motorsport fuel pump
Black silicon hoses – boost and cooling
Live remap by Minhea from MRC
3 bar map sensor
Uprated recirculating BOV
Catch can
AEM air filter with metal pipes
1.8t coil pack – conversion
3" turbo back exhaust (inc sports cat). The Magnaflow box was so loud it would wake the dead, and living near a cemetery I didn’t want to take that chance; so I had Hayward and Scott custom make a rear box. The original box will be supplied
Suspension:
Eibach springs, Bilstein shocks
Brakes:
Ebc Yellowstuff front and Redstuff rear.
Misc
HID Headlight kit
Chrome wing mirrors – originals provided as well
The following work has been undertaken in the past couple of months:
4 brand new Kumho KU9 tyres – along with laser wheel alignment
5x new Bosch coilpacks - as mentioned above, this car has the 1.8t coil pack conversion
5 x NGK Iridium BKR7EIX sparkplugs (scared of the Bosch F5DPOR).
New fuel filter – purchased from Audi
New oil filter – purchased from Audi
New thermostat – purchased from Audi
Engine oil change – using Fuchs Titan Pro S 10w-50
Gearbox oil change – Fuchs Titan Sintofluid
Brake fluid change - Pentosin Super DOT 4 Brake Fluid
Offside outer CV boot
Bosch lamba sensor
As you can imagine, this S6 is awesomely fast. 165mph seen on the German Autobahns
It's a docile car when pootling around, with power building at around 3k rpms, before a full on headbutt towards the horizon around 3.8k rpms. Great for unsuspecting passengers
Will beat NA Porsche 911s, BMW M3 E46s, and M5 E39s
Took her to the Belgium Grand Prix at the end of August with 3 other people, it was perfect for the job. If you have a family and/or friends, you can’t beat a urS6!
Parts that require attention:
Bodywork:
The car would benefit from a respray as there’s lacquer peel on most panels. The roof is ok.
The car suffered a small knock on the front offside corner, requiring a new bonnet, so it’s a slightly different colour. But then, this isn’t an issue if the car is being resprayed.
There is rust on the A-pillars where the monkeys that changed the windscreen (before my ownership) scratched the galvanising
Offside front wing has rust – could be repaired.
Looking for offers around £6.5k
