Hi Eric, not a nice thing to find out. Usually though, cat C will need a vic check if that existed back then - that's recorded and dated along with the damage on line 3 on your logbook, and ends up with a non - transferable no. plate so it retains it's identity - line 2 note. You might just have the non transferable reg note if it's old damage. These are off my boomerang 90 20v sport B3 that's a previous cat C
If only it didn't affect values, but when trying to sell the car values were cut by 2/5 to 1/2 what my mate originally wanted. I've had it back (for the 5th time!).
S2's are in demand and desirable, I still would have thought that you'd get close to your asking price as it looks pretty good with the sensible mods it's had.
