  • Timing adjustment via vagcom - Which version?

Checked the timing on vagcom and it was out after a belt change. Adjustment was easy enough, although getting it right on the graph is a bit hit and miss as I adjusted it the the first one which turned out to be "all 1z's" after that there are a few choices.

    80 1z 92-94
    80 1z 94- d.08
    80 1z 94- d.09

Typically they are all different, so if its set right on one, its not quite right on the other.

Car is the later one, so it should be one of the last 2, but how can I check which one?

Make a print screen when you enter in the engine diagnsotic and post it.

Cheers! Obviously the first one is for the early cars with the large afm. For future reference, how do you know when you have the d.08 engine?
