Looks like its 124p a litre down here! With a 40 mile round trip to get it! So can't see much benefit either economically or ecologically.

I don't think I've ever bought veggie oil in my life. How much is it per litre? If it is anywhere near £1/l, is it woth the possible future headaches?UrS6 - Homefry, Bailey DV, PiperX filter, Samco hoses, H&R springs, 3" D/P back zorst, 270bhp and 260ftlb

You will be problem free as what others have said is that about 97/98 they changed the diesel pump which struggles to pump the veg oil (pump dues or something its called)..My A4 is the last of them and i run her on 50/5093 S2 Avant Parting

I'm a Costco member so will check their prices. At current diesel prices, i'll still be saving just over £50 per week.Find your nearest (bookers) Trade place to buy food and stuff ..reg with them (anybody can..pay to reg not much though)you can buy Euro veg oil for £13 ( 15litres)

you need at least 5% of derv to veg oil or you need to have a bio fuel conversion it also helps to run it 50/50 now and again94 s2 avant

Just had a 1999 diesel Vectra come in this week, driving along normally then a bang from under the bonnet and stopped.
Turns out using a mix of 75% diesel 25% veggie oil and has shot the high pressure pump due to the increased viscosity of the fuel over heating the injection pump.
My advise is if it says diesel use diesel and nothing else especially on common rail and pumpa duse.Comment

Oh just remembered a friend had a taxi in with a shot injector(pumpa duse VW Sharan)
they replaced the injector and then another injector failed(injectors costing about £200-£300 each)turns out the taxi driver was filling up with Kerosene and giving his boss hand written fuel receipts for diesel.Comment
