Samco Update - 3B and WATER

The batch of 3B boost kits ordered end of Feb arrived with me today. I'll be PM'ing all concerned to confirm shipping details. They will be posted on later this week.

This order also came with the larger diameter 'fat link' water hose that connects to the thermostat housing. I have these for all who got the 1st batch of water kits so you have an easier time fitting this particular hose.

Subsequent water kits will have the fatter link from now on.

The last few paypal transfers for the March batch of ABY/ADU, 3B and Water kits are still in motion so as soon as all funds have cleared my bank I'll be lighting up that order. That should be no later than Friday 7th April which as about 1 week later than I planned but some transfers have been strangely slow - darn banks...

I'm told to expect a four week lead time at the minute so thats cool.

That is great news. I have a new coolant recirculation pump to go on mine as it leaks slightly from the seals. Although I am a seasoned pro at coolant hose changes now, I will wait for the fatter thermostat link hose before tackling that - after all the fun we had on Angus' car

Great news indeed! My car is finally getting stripped down now, engine and box out this week and all the ballast (air con etc) removed. Looks like I will have most of the bits available ready and waiting for the installation of the other engine. I can check this one off the list!

@AndyP - thanks for keeping the faith. The tooling mod delayed the 3B kit much more than anyone expected and I desperately needed measurements and photos from other 3B owners to help resolve the matter. Let me know how the fitment goes.

@Sweeper - I need your shipping address. I already sent you a PM last weekend.

@KotK - I'll send you the fatter 'fat link' water hose. Just realised you were owed one.

Fitting Guide for 3B

This is great news. Hopefully mine will have arrived ready for the Easter holiday so that I can have a go at fitting them myself. I've searched the forum for a step-by-step guide, but I can only find this one by Paul for ABY engines. This might be a stupid question, but can this guide still be used for 3Bs?
