Some pics attached from the archives

1 - ABY boost kit in Black

          2 - 3B boost kit in Blue

I have individual pics of the water hoses here - looking for a pic with box containing all ten of them.

                Paul...

Can you get the BR Green ones?

Can I ask a Dumb Question....

Are these better quality than the OEM & Roose versions?

                If So Why?

These are reinforced flourosilicone materials that Samco have developed over umpteen years for heavy duty and motorsport applications. They are much more robust than factory rubber hoses - especially ~15yr old ones. I see them as "boost insurance" against the bain of air leaks. I'm not getting into an argument as to whether Samco is better than SFS or Roose or any other hose - they are all a vast improvement over factory items. Pays your money takes your choice.

The flouro liner on the turbo hoses means they are protected from any oil vapours that are circulating in the intake system - as per the norm on S2. Ordinary silicone rubber perishes in the presence of oil vapour. The water hoses don't need such a lining of course.

Sorry didn't want to start an argument about which is best... these things are subjective anyway... Just looking for an "Honest Opinion" to enable me to make an informed choice...

The OEM ones on my car are all fine at the mo, even thoo they have been on from day one (only done 80K Too)... But with putting your SUPERB homefry ecu on, I assume that they will now have to work under a greater pressure and then that in turn may lead to problems futher down the line... Yes

I would rather deal with someone I know rather than a faceless company... But as you all know mechanics and upgrades is all new to me.... Even after owning My S2 for over 10 years... So advice is requested... Cheers....

Can you get them in the BR Green? just to match the car... Has anyone fitted BR Green got any pictures??????

I think I did one set of the dark green hoses before... pretty sure they landed in Spain or Portugal maybe - so many hoses - so little time

The samco website should have pics of all colours - not in Audi applications perhaps, but helps visualise it I should think.

Turbo inlet is not altered for S2 or RS2 application.

If you are keeping 3B airbox, intercooler and pressure pipe then stick with 3B hoses.

However, for RS2 operation it is wise to go for RS2 or Carsten intercooler and the RS2 airbox is a good improvement to. All you would then need is an ABY/ADU pressure pipe for the throttle body and you could go with ABY boost kit.

PS - I will have a nice chipset for you soon if interested ;-)
