Thought I would revive this thread, the guy on the quattroforum did not end up pursuing this so, I have bought a genuine wheel and have already been in touch with a few companies in the uk. They will not be able to come as closely priced as the original thread but early estimates show £300 to £475 each depending on raw material prices at the time of production.

Once I am further forward I will be in touch with interested parties to see if they still want to continue.

Further investigation shows that the material to be used will be a choice between

Alloy LM25-TF or LM25-TB7 or LM7 with a higher silicone content.

The original wheel should be with me before Friday, and I will be dropping it off at the pattern makers as soon as it lands.
