Sorry the date was only a guestimate from Ricky.
The end of the Month is a wash with holidays here.

Work will pretty much halt from december 24th here in the UK untill January 3rd i think.

Yep if the screen is sold within the UK, then VAT is liable

The Group buy is working by my self paying Ricky for 1 order of 10 or more screens this will not be broken down. And the company does not ship to the USA

Could the supplier not create a separate invoice for the US guys, to one of them, who could claim back the VAT? Or would it have to actually be posted by the seller? Rather than via someone else?

But I reckon your have to pay UK Vat an then claim it back from customs after.

Please take alook at the government web site they will no doubt shed some light on it

If you buy it direct off the retailer / distributor and have it shipped direct to the US then you should not have to pay UK VAT, since it is an export transaction, not for the domestic market. But if it is bought as part of the GB and not sent direct then you will have to pay VAT and won't be able to claim it back AFAIK.

I am being invoiced for the screens and that's for how ever many I order Friday.

So sorry uk vat on every screen unless you can get it back from customs.

James. Does the company that the order being processed through still charge US buyers the UK VAT? Any exemptions?
