URS4 clocks, speedo etc white replacement faces

Just to ask if anyone would be interested in replacement solid plastic dials instead of oe stick on, to replace the original ones on urs4,s6 as mine are knackered (peeling) and have found German company that will make white with red writing (OE) replacements in solid plastic and also in mph istead of Kmh which is all I could find before, heres a link to their site http://www.tachodesign.de/. Full set i.e all oil pressure etc is around 75 euros and if there was enough people interested suspect a good bit less. Just to add I,m not trying to sell them just thought others might be interested as I know its a common problem.

Didn't know that URS4 had the same issues as the S2s... S6s too?

Yup! My s4 was very bad andy. That's why I bought another.

That website is quite hard to make sense off. Are these just replacement faces like what Andy is offering? Or do they convert the gaueges to plasma? In which case that's a good price!
I like the way they have moved the starting to vertical Alfa style on some of the versions.

If roysterFR doesn't want to take on the risk of a batch then I can look into this - obviously don't want to step on the anyone's toes so let me know what you decide to do...

I'd expect prices for a small batch to be similar to the RS2 items (ÂŁ69 main only / ÂŁ90 full), as my dial manufacturer has put up their prices by 25% recently(!) but if more than 10 people want a set then prices will come down to similar levels to the S2 items (ÂŁ59/ÂŁ80). As anyone with my S2 dials will know, quality is great and you'd genuinely struggle to tell the dials apart from OEM.

That sounds good to me, I don't mind who gets them, Depends on if there are enough people wanting them I suppose, for it to be worthwhile for you. If not as I say that company seems happy to make some even in very small quantities. Would it be possible to get some with s4 on the speedo like originals, or is that a hard task? Cheers

Think its just the faces to be honest, I know they do plasma as well, you can get blue etc. I was just looking to replace originals, not too worried about being much different from standard.

Extra colours will add to the cost but if they are OE then that's what's required. Custom dials are too subjective (as my blue efforts have proved) and so I'd want to accurately replicate some OE ones. If someone can get me some dials in even a poor state of repair, then I can get on with it. Are the A6/S6 dials the same or different - shape / pattern etc. etc.?

Yes s6 is pretty much same apart from s6 on speedo. I can send you a instrument cluster if that would help. How long do you recon roughly you would need it for?

These guys have C4 plasma dials on sale. Not listed in this page, but in the gallery they have some pictures og URS4 dials.

Also, those TDI dials with RS4 styling look quite nice

Urs6 also has a diffrent AUX gauge so that's worth keeping in mind. The font on the dials is slighlty bigger and the hole position is a couple of mm out as the physical vdo tachometer is compleatly diffrent to urs4 same goes for the rev counter . Andy if you make s6 ones too they will need compleatly diffrent designes. God knows why they always have to make it so difficult.

OK, a pain for sure... will start with the S4 ones then. Will be about 8-10 weeks to sort it all, depends on the dial manufacturer, as they have been a bit snowed under of late. I'd want to do a completely OE design and would need 5 off people interested in a set to take the risk, as the dial prices have jumped up a bit recently!
