    Tom,

You may have to wait for your rear set. I'll see what I can do. Can you check what size holes you need on yours for me so I can get them drilled for you.

I'll post some pics as soon as I've got the first couple of sets. I'll also take some pics of them installed on my car when my new digicam arrives.

@Tom, Cheers, yours will be M10. I've just phoned the teachers dad and he's going to make you two sets ready for Combe.

Wahey, cool. That chassis number is quite an early beast, innit. Hope the teacher is well. Is she coming along to combe with you? Be nice to see her sober again, aswell as yourself

Right, I've finally got some pictures of the first sets of mounts to be made, standard oe mounts and the ones I have fitted on my Avant.

For some reason the forum won't let me add pictures to my post so I will have to use links instead

First off here is a slightly better diagram of where the mounts fit. The mounts are highlighted in pink as usual They are shown as different sizes on the diagram but are the same size on the car.

                diagram

Here are pictures of the oe mounts:

                oe mount front view

                oe mount back view

                oe mount side view

                Now for the alloy versions:

                alloy mount front view

                alloy mount back view

                alloy mount side view

The side view shows how the fit on the car. One above and one below the subframe.

Here are some pictures of them on my car:

                alloy mount fitted 1

                alloy mount fitted 2

                alloy mount fitted 3

                alloy mount fitted 4

These have been on the car a month now and I've been driving it without a belly pan all that time so rain and dirt have been getting all over them. No corrosion to be seen so far

Unlike the oe mounts the alloy ones do not need to be pressed into the subframe. The bevelled edge fits the lip of the subframe above and below and forms a sandwich.

Based on the first sets I've had made it looks like they will be around £25-30 for a set for one subframe. I've got six people who want sets so far. If we can get 15-20 sets ordered then it should be around £20 a set (+P&P).

I'll post a list of who wants them in the next couple of days once I've got all the info on sizes needed etc.

                Ben

And you haven't even paid for them yet

Seriously though that is bad, some people will nick anything that isn't bolted down. Glad they didn't steal anything else.

I've got one more spare set at the moment. I'll get the others ordered when Carly's dad is back from his holiday.

If your desperate for them I can send them down to you, or maybe you can show me and Carly the delights of Yeoville.

                            Let me know,
