I like the sound of this. Once the 16 pin ISO plug is connected, do you think I'll be able to connect it up to one of the many OBD-II readers that are around, or is that asking a bit too much?

    Cheers,
    Tom

Yes - that is the whole point of Part 3 - attaches to whatever ISO-OBD solution thee might have... unless you need to buy one (Part 3.X) !

Great - please add me to the list for (just need Part 1 + Part 3).

Will you be able to monitor things like boost pressure, intake temp etc. through this new OBD connector?

            i'm in

I would like to be added to the list. I recently transitioned from my b5 s4 to a cq and i do miss vagcom capability.

I live in the US so I am not sure how this affects the final pricing, but let me know we can work it out.

That is true. The other thing is I have been evaluating best and cheapest options for doing this. There has been very little interest in the blink code reader so I am drawn to simplifying this into a completely standard obd2 plug with 4 pins hardwired inside the ecu. I have located a good looking source of connectors from USA tp make this as cheap as it can be. The plan is to enough of a tail of cable that the plug can be nicely mounted in the footwell.

As for the blink code reader and other diagnostic trickery - I have a better plan for that, but I need to build it and demo it for it to be meaningful to most folk.

Main interest seems to be on the iso obd plug that you plug your favourite scan tool or laptop into.

Ok - this is looking like a go then. I will be ordering parts after I return from
                      Le mans.

Part 1 will now be an iso plug fitted to your ECU for £25 - or free as part of custom remap from me. The iso plug will be on a connector tail that conveniently locates in passenger side footwell.

This connects directly to part3.x with USB and cd, with instructions etc for £49

Sorry Paul, will you be able to do the S6 and S2 ecu's for me (2x£25) and one usb cable?

If you want to work out lengths of cable etc for the S4 / S6 I could bring mine to you sometime.

S4/s6 coould be problematico cos of where ecu resides in the floor... Probably does need longer cable run to extend under carpet for presentation in the footwell.

Well count me in for the s2 and if you get a chance to verify a fit for an s4/s6 sometime count me in for that too.

It'd be cool to have the same cable that would access either car.
