bottom door rubber strip manufacture

been to see a company this morning that are pricing the job and giving a lead time for the first batch, (approx 10 sets)

material wil be abs plastic

construction will be an abs molded face with an abs extrusion bonded to the back to pick up on the original mountings, this will illimnate the orignal corrision problem with the trim piece

primary molds will be only be used for the first batch, (low cost molds) if these prove to work and the demand is there i will get the molds manufactured in aluminium which will last.

the material colour is black

unless painted they will over time will fade grey due to UV light exposure (like the textured part of the bumper)

my next step will be to get hold of a decent set to copy which needs to include the small front wing trim and all four door trims

I'd be really interested in a more easily painted version of these type of trims for the coupe if this works out well for the RS2

ok first 25 sets would be aproxamately £250. - this is the full set - not just the door trims.

they may end up cheaper once produced, this is a ball park figure.

i need a full set of good ish trims including the wing and rear quarter trims to get the ball rolling, any offer's send me a pm

Wab you do know that the RS2 trims are not the same shape as the Avant ones but fit the same car? hence the big interest in the RS2 ones

I'm just clarifying for all because I think most people on the list want the RS2 trims on the Avant ones which can be bought oem for around the same price however the RS2 ones can't
