S2 carpet mats are ready to ship

I passed the delivery details through on Thursday for the first ten people who had paid online. So if you placed your order by Thursday? then your set are out for dispatch :-)

I think they should be of been sent out Thursday/Friday, but by Parcel Force!! so allow a few days for them to arrive. No-one is more eager than me to get them :-)

The first few sets that went out @ 43, that was a mistake in the shop, I'll be after you for the difference (when I get the time!!)

I see the mats are starting to arrive with us I can confirm that the Avant ones fit PERFECTLY Now I need to get my thinking head on to sort out the fixing pegs. That won't take me long. I'll sort them out on my wagon first, then let you know which clips we need and get them for us. I didn't have ANY pegs on my non genuine mats :-( those of you who have the peg fixing system should be able to take the fixings out of the old mats and fit them to the new mats easy. Make sure you fit them in the right place though!!

I'll let you know what I get and when for the people who don't have old fixings to re-use soon.

Martyn, I thought the mats would have the fittings for the pegs that was the main reason behind getting them. So you can get clips that we fit to the mats that will attach them to the pegs?

I'll defo need some as I have aftermarket mats. They are not specific fit and the receipt for them (from QS) says S2 mats £72! Must have seen the last owner coming

I need to sort out the clips for anyone who doesn't have them?? I thought we were!!! getting the hole in them for the clip system! no big deal, you only need to make a small hole in the mat for the peg to come through, easy enough to do.

I'll sort out the fixings and send you some (anyone that needs them)

Mine fit bloody lovely!! no more pulling the crap mats back and stopping me from hitting the pedal to the floor I've gained about 30hp now I can push the pedal all the way down and go FASTER :-)

Top man Greg for your donor carpet mat set! Phew... doing this always makes you nervous 'what if the template was wrong!!' Clips for you, no problem :-) The clips are pennies, not worth bothering about! we'll pay more in bank charges to clear the paymnet than the clips cost!! I'll send those to all who need them.

I need clips also, but if you just want to hook me up the next time we see each other, that would be fine. My baby is going to be down for a bit longer...

I'm getting a lot of these so we can all have what we need to fit them down. Mine fit pretty darn snug, don't think they would move anyhow!

I am VERY happy with the quality of them though :-) I'd say as good as, if not better than OE (when you could get OE!)

So Mik paid £120 :eek2: Leigh's previous owner paid £72 and neither fitted right? mine were from a Yugo , so I should get a few more made and sell then for £70 ish??? I am very happy with these I must admit

My originals fit perfect and have the 4 ring logo on them, but im missing one at the rear and the drive one is holy. But I like to spend money :wacked:

Am I missing the plot.... my old ones have holes in the front two mats (no clips) that go over pegs in the carpet.

Do these clips "that you speak off" give a 'smooth' finish to holes we need to make in the new mats, or, are the clips for S2's without pegs. If the clips are to make nice smooth holes then I'll go for them please

The OE mats did indeed just have holes in them that the pegs came through. Not exactly the best fitment as it made the holes in the mats stretch!!

I'm ordering the OE pegs for the floor. So that the guys without any pegs at all on the floor right now, will have some. Then we'll have to make a small hole in the carpet for the peg to come through.

The 'nice smooth clips' like the later A4's have may.... or may not fit with our S2 pegs??? I'm going to try it and find out.

If you already have the pegs in the floor Jim, you don't need the fixings I'm getting as you have them already.

If I can find a later set of fixings that will work, then I'll let you know :-))
