ABY, ADU flywheel lightweight version poll

    Hi,

Target is to build a version where original ABY,ADU clutch can be mounted or the sachs race engineering pressureplate with original clutch plate or harder one.

The reson for using original dimensions is that the race pressure plate... 724 for ABY or ADU offers better NM capability than the harder to use 3B pressure plate ....707. Also the 724 is lighter to use, which is huge benefit in stop and go traffic.

Weight target is 7 to 8 kilograms.

I´ll make the evo version available to forum readers if there is some interest ?

    tommy200 ----@---- jippii.fi

ps. note that the package needs full rebalancing.

Slightly missed the bidding of that heavy weight ugly ABY ADU monster flywheel. I have checked the delivery time of leightweight flywheel manufacturing and that is approximately 3 weeks from order, but the master model is still missing.

here a picture where the diference for pressure plate mounting can be seen in ABY, ADU:

I´ll get tomorrow one heavy ADU flywheel for delivering it directly to CNC shop for making a light one. If someone interested in having equal, I can take group orders in for this batch.. Price will be very competetive compared to spare part price. Email directly me for details. Estimated delivery time in january (2 to 3 weeks).

This Blue S2 allready has the ultralight version flywheel.
It spins up to 9500 RPM:

I prefer the ...724 pressure plate and therefore wouldn´t use the 3B flywheel and ..707 for ABY/ADU. 724 also offers better NM capability.

Im not 100% sure that here are 2 different ABY/ADU flywheels. I think that the AAN is different to the ABY/ADU. Can anyone confirm this. I have only come across one different flywheel. We need more ppl's experience.

Well when we had a look a while back with lee and doug one type is like the one tommy took a picture of and the other has an extra ring on the pressure side around the edge which is about 15-20mm wide and the same high protruding from it.

The AAN flywheel that I got from the short block i used on mine was the same as my current flywheel also, lee has got my old one now.

                    > Is the S2 3B and 200 flyhells the same???
                    - interesting question and I would like to know the difference too
                    - The light weight wheel will be ready this week
                    - another ultra light 3B available 6,5 kg.
                    - Lower is not recommended for street

AAN original clutch plate does not have the torsion springs at all
ABY ADU plate does have the springs but the LUK stock variant has some damned plastic toy material in the plate. I´ll check how the sachs stock plate variant looks like. probably no plastic ?

I dont have any 3bs2 to take a picture, but if you dont believe me or the other,
it is your loss, check etka for instance, they have picture and different part number.
