It has just become apparent that the supplier is not a British company. The company is JDL Brakes and they appear to be located in Poland. I wasn't aware of this when I was corresponding by email.
I'd welcome any thoughts by forum members with regards to the location of the company and if anyone has dealt with them before.
The bit of research I've done makes me think they are a legit company. They are a big stockist of Alcon brakes and I've found one endorsement so far from a buyer on a VW forum.
I emailed them regarding to we would progress the group buy. Below is my question to them and their response. I would welcome any suggestions.

> Ferodo FRP3075H
> Ferodo DS2500 rear pads for Audi S8 (Audi part number 1J0 698 451L)
> Ferodo DS2500 front and rear pads for BMW Z4 (model to be confirmed)
> Pagid RS-29 for Porsche 6 pot GT2 calipers

Hi Alistair,
The best option is to receive one e-mail from you, with buyer list.
We usually prefer bank transfer, but it can be too much hassles to send international payment for such small amount, so pay pal should be easier. But .... pay pal usually take from us ( business account ) 5% from each transaction. It is not problem if we sell at retail prices, but we offered really good price, and we work on very small profit so any additional cost like pay pal fee means, loss for us.
Please speak with forum members, and let me know what would be better option.
We have in stock 4 sets of 3051H at the moment. We can order more, but it will take about 2-4 weeks, so please let know all forum members.
Regarding other parts, I will check and let you know.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me
JDL-brakes.com has to offer Alcon brake pads, discs & kits for cars like Nissan GTR, Skyline R34 GTR, Porsche 997, BMW M3, and many more. Enjoy your shopping at JDL-brakes.com
I've just checked and they don't take credit cards. Personally, I think the best option is paypal and pay the extra ÂŁ4 towards the charges. It prevents any one person being responsible for the whole purchase. But I'm happy to go with the majority.
If it does go down the route of individual purchases, I'm not sure how we convince JDL that there are sufficient numbers to obtain the ÂŁ80. I would suggest that the people who are in most need go first and buy the 4 sets they have in stock. That way we can see how they perform with delivery. I probably need them sooner rather than later so happy to be a guniea pig. I've listed the buyers below for you to indicate your preference. Or propose a different idea if you have one??

It looks like we all need to order and pay at the same time in order to get the lowest quote. If we order the first four sets they will charge ÂŁ88 for the four. Lead time for everyone after the first four sets is 2-4wks.
Could I be really rude and ask if i can have one of the set of 4 available because i am down to paper thin pads now.
Really appreciate your efforts in this Alistair, how long would the first batch take to arrive?

That's fine with me. We just need everyone to agree to order at the same time. Would be nice to sort out this week as it would help those who are desperate.
