RS2 carbon fibre airbox - any interest?

I've just replaced mine which was held together with duct tape. The knee trembling cost made me think there has to be a better alternative so I've found a bloke who already makes carbon fibre Audi parts and he's prepared to price up fabrication of an RS2 airbox if there's enough interest.

So - any interested to seriously consider putting down a deposit?

They won't be Audi 80 cheap but they will hopefully be cheaper than what I paid for an OEM RS2 version.

OEM RS2 airboxes are no longer available. But I would be hoping for a price that was at least 25-30% cheaper than what I paid...

OK, its a promising start...thanks chaps. If any of you have photos of said airbox from orthographic angles (sides/ends/top and bottom) I'd be really grateful if I could pass them on. I've looked on here and most of the clean shots are at an angle.

                Exactly this...

Truth is, I have always been disappointed with carbon parts. They do the job but the quality is never what you hope or even what you expect.

Don't for a moment think the quality will be the same as the OEM carbon fibre door/dash trims.. it won't...

Doesn't stop me from buying carbon parts for cars and bikes though... live in hope eh?

Well the maker is experienced and reputable so I have no concerns about quality at this point.

Good to hear. Your potential customers don't though, so would be good to see some examples perhaps?
