Group Buy - White VDO Turbo Gauge with True Backlit Face & Needle

I'm looking into placing an order that would provide an OEM matching VDO turbo gauge with an OEM matching white face, backlit dial, and a glow needle.

It would be a combination of the following:

Core gauge (mech & glow needle): VDO Vision Black 30 Hg - 25 PSI

Face Design (same needle range) : VDO White Cockpit

The problem with current VDO designs is that you either get a backlit black face & needle (great, but black) or a solid white face and needle (can't see at all at night).

I can go about this 2 ways, just order the face, which looks to be around $15-20 USD or combine with the gauge as well (no lines or fittings, but may add) for around $45 - 50 USD, total $60 - 70 USD. As it seems sometimes the VDO gauges are much higher priced in Europe. All would be + actual shipping. These are estimates, but s/b close.

FYI: The actual gauge shell needs to be cut to replace the face without damaging or bending the front bezel, but all mechanical operations are untouched.

The batch order is 15, so 14 available... Who's In?

The gauge looks nice but the screws need to be white. I think it will look more O,E. What white are you going for as I am let to believe that RS2 faces are a different white to the S2 speedo faces.

I have faces made up that perfectly match S2 and RS2 gauges in PSI, 2.0 Bar and 2.5 Bar. I also have matching EGT gauge faces. All use VDO gauges as a base. I sourced the gauges from the states and haven't had time to run batches of late...

If it reads in bar ( 2.0 bar is enough for me ) , then I am interested .

Ooh, I might be interested in a 2.5 bar white face, I tried looking for ages for one but had to settle on an AEM version:

The plan is for it to be the same vacuum & PSI as the gauge pictured. I don't think we'll be able to mix the line with a BAR version, but I'll ask. (and as I'm looking for PSI, well that gets priority)

Screws could be painted white by end user.

Faces will be white, not gray.

Yes, I have no $ interest in selling the gauge, was only mentioning as I've seen in the past people in Europe had much higher prices on the same gauge vs. US for some reason. If that's not the case, it's a lot easier for me to just handle the face production.

I tried this almost 20 years ago. VDO wanted a committment for a run of 500 units if they were to do what you are suggesting at the factory. Ultimately the idea failed because 25 psi boost is too low for anybody running above Stage 1+. I couldn't get enough interest to move forward.

A better bet might be Marshall gauges in the US. They did at one time do a true backlit 30 psi back lit boost gauge. They also said that they would do a special run (and didn't need 500 unit committement)
