WGFV Fitment

Hi guys,

I have just picked up a new WGFV and want to try to get it fitted today, only problem is I have no pipework to trace and replace as there is not one fitted at the moment.

Any clues on where the three prongs connect to and should I wind the wastegate out fully and start winding it back up after the WGFV is fitted to get the boost where I want it?

Just another quick q though, Where do those inputs come from then. The wastegate one is easy. boost pressure comes from where and intake hose comes from where.

Do you per chance mean that the hose from the back of the intake that is currently going to my DV goes to the air intake side and the boost pressure then goes to the DV?

Boost pressure from the compressor.
Intake means the MAF to turbo hose.

So you are saying that the WGFV is connected to the unpresurisedd side of the turbo intake?

Does anyone have a pic of it on the car?

Its connected to both sides in effect.

In the pic above:- (as stu says)
Intake hose = maf-turbo hose
boost pressure = turbo compressor
wastegate = err wastegate

your setup is a bit different though isnt it? bypassed wgfv??

Yes it ic currently bypassed (i.e. plugged in but with no pipework to it at all).
This may take some time..

Any clues then bud (and yes I did have the engine from WAB before you say it) Just trying to get as much back to normal as poss, already gone back to a recirc dump valve along with custom intake piping, just need to get the WGFV sorted then start playing with the exhaust and poss a future visit to get it mapped. Oh then the brakes too.

Just plumb it in as shown in the picture. If you have a custom intake pipe (MAF - Turbo) this may need modding to allow the return line from the WGFV to connect to it.

Right then guys just been having a bit of a play and fitted the wastgate valve..... And a new dump valve (soory gone for atmospheric and recirc valve by Turbotechnics. Half vents to the atmos and half to the recirc) which should be a little louder than the standard but have a touch of a hiss to it too......
Hope it works as had to do alot of plumbing for this...
