                  looks a nice tool though.....

                  and

We do not have enough room to list every car and engine the ValveMaster will work on. What we can tell you is what it won't work on. It won't work on valves with more than one groove in the stem for the keepers. As far as we know it works on all the rest. If it doesn't work let us know and we will either give you your money back or make a revised tool for your application.

Errm, I didn't think you could compress valve springs that easily and you needed a mechanical compressor??

Alright that's sweet looking, but I don't like it. I dismantled my 3.6L heads and I have taken many heads about (I work at a machine shop) and that isn't going to work on any head with the kind of valve springs we run. Forget it if you have HD springs. it takes ~350lbs to compress the HD springs IIRC. so how many can push 350lbs on their heads?

I'd just go buy a good assembly tool. works great for all the 2-5v heads.
                        link

That is on the expensive side of these things. The one I use at work is about half that, but works great. dosen't have a ton of features, but does it's job. The reason these work so much better then the standard spring compressor is it actually reaches down into the lifter bores and allows for the retainer locks to be removed. On multigrooved valves this is a must. Much safer and more user freindly for the kind of things I would assume people on here do. Also this works for disassembly as well as assembly, so you never need to have more then one tool. the vavle stem seal pliers are easy enough to get from a number of online places nothing special.

They can be done in situ without taking the head off easily enough
