Hi. windows on my CQ20V have decided not to work no more, in up position thank god. so pulled the door card of and did some tracing back. no signs of any wires broken. Have done a test with a multimeter. checked for power first and there isnt any to the switches. pulled the power and checked for resistance and there is resistance in the wiring so checked the relay (now thats a job you dont want to do to often, could they have made it more inaccesable!) anyway relay is good too. Went to check fuses but there is nothing listed on top of the fuse box for a fuse for electric windows but there must be. some help please, am I not even close to looking in the right places is there a fuse but linked up with something else. Thank you in advance. All good advice is most apreciated.

There's a thermal fuse in the aux relay carrier. S43 in this diagram http://s2-audi.co.uk/workshop/schema...s_91/page2.png

Do the windows normally run smoothly too? It could be the grease in the windows has gone a bit hard and they need a rebuild so they are free running and don't trigger the thermal fuse.Greg
