7A Coupe quattro Temp Gauge with AC on

I have a 1991 coupe quattro with the 7A engine (inline 5, 20V, nonturbo). It was about 90 degrees today and with the AC on, the coolant gauge approached the thin line at about 12 o'clock, which is the after the thick line where the temperature needle normally resides.

What's the summer coolant gauge range for everyone?
