I have a 1991 7A with 315,000 miles. The car has been on Mobil 1 15W-50 every 7500 miles since new.
I just completed a valve cover gasket on the engine and noticed a thin layer of black, grainy coating in the IM and the combustion chamber.
Is it worth it to clean off this black coating? If so, what’s the best way. I am thinking of just taking off the IM again and just spraying the heck out of the IM and the combustion area with seafoam.
What’s the optimal way to clean the IM on a 7A?
