  • 1990 coupe power seat & blower motor inoperative

I rescued a 1990 CQ lately that had not been started for some 15 years. It’s driveable now and I am working my way through the electricals.

Both power seats do not work. The memory button causes a click under the seat and that’s it. Fuse is good. Bentley says there two circuit breakers under the dash, but I only see the window circuit breakers.

The AC unit turns on fine, turns on the radiator fan. However, the blower is not getting 12V.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Pull the seats and test the motors with an external power source.

There is a small circuit board mounted underneath the seat. I spent months trying to figure out the issue and thought it was a switch. Finally, I opened up this module and saw that the board had a bad trace that needed to be soldered.

Getting that module out is not easy, you need to have external power to move the seat into the right position to get it out.
