    1991 7A coupe runs cold.

I have a 7A engined coupe that doesn’t warm up well with outside temps 30 degrees F and below. The coolant gauge stays at the bottom 3 lines of the gauge. The heater barely works.

How do I address this and strike a balance between winter and summer temps?

the coolant system is stock, heater flaps work fine, and the car doesn’t have a heater valve.

    Thank you.

from your description, sounds like the thermostat is stuck in the open position. have you checked the coolant hoses off the engine to determine if the coolant is flowing and heating up?
