1991 sudi coupe with 7A timing belt life

I just did the 6th 60,000 mile timing belt on my 7A. The last few times I used a Febi belt and noticed the belt is in excellent shape with zero cracks. It looked almost brand new. I think the newer belts hold up very well.

What’s the longest I can go safely with the newer timing belts on the 7A engine?I am thinking 90k miles should be safe. I go 90k miles easily on the 12V V6 engines.

Just did the belt on my Nothelle S2 Avant. 8 years and about 6k miles. Gates belt came off looking brand new with no wear or cracks. I think a lot depends on temperatures where you live. Very hot summers and very cold winters will likely put more stress on the belt. Also might have something to do with driving habits. Long stress free cruising versus repeated cold starts and short journey? Anyway, belt change on these cars isn't a big deal so i will probably do it again in 7-8 years. Better safe than sorry.
