To just bolt it on; elongate one bolt and it looked like it would fit right on, however it is rather flimsy, I would fill the bush (tiger seal or similar) and consider reinforcing the bracket. -
I do have something useful to contribute to the thread though, easy way to pull the yoke, pop a bar through the yoke then either use a longer bolt (wishbone one is perfect) or place a solid object in to take up the space and then just unwind and the yoke wil pop off.

Yeah, I paid the money as I understood it was an oem bearing and I thought ok its pricey but I will do this once and properly, if I had known I would have welded flat bar onto a bmw one with two braces and filled it with polyurethane.
I was in a hurry and believed I had an oem bearing so didn't compare except to check orientation, that was a mistake. By the time I realized it was wrong I had already fitted it. Really want the car back on the road asap so modifying it.Leave a comment:

not good, and for that money too, i'd be mighty ******** off. you could replace the BMW one 6 times for that price

Just received my quattro corner one and it is not the same as oem. The bearing fits but the bracket is too long and the holes are in the wrong place,

It should fit if cut and holes drilled like so:

So personally rather ****ed off as I phoned up and asked for a center prop bearing for an s2, paid for it, was sent this. Phoned Pete and he said yeah they require modified when I questioned the difference as that is the closest to OEM available now. No mention it required modified when purchased.
Oh and price from Quattro Corner is £130 plus postage.
Seriously pissed I didn't compare them till I had fitted mine to the prop and by that time I was too far in. I have a bmw one without a bearing as well, however as gt500 has pointed out they are weak, the bush could be poly filled but the bracket is weak as well.
Not a good day, hoped to have my car on the road tonight, not having to start to modify a replacement part

I don't want to talk out of line if it isn't the case but Rob GT500 mentioned in one thread that he bought one of these from QC and it was not the geniuine one as used by the OEM. Worth checking.Leave a comment:

I got a genuine centre prop bearing from pete reeve (quattro corner) a couple of days ago, give him a call if you need it asap or send him an email. I called and got mine the next day.Leave a comment:
