Something to check for

Just moved my Avant for the first time in months and it rewarded me with another pissing episode, this time far more threatening as it petrol @ full pressure.
I love my S2
There is a dirt trap behind the heat shield which you can see and this had held mud etc. against the pipe causing rust which had gone through the metal pipe causing this. The rubber was intact and untouched. Please check next time yours is up on a ramp.

Not good, hopefully it won't be too much for you to sort out my 20v coupe had the same problem.

It's sorted already.
The Sheffield massive arrived and we replaced the crap bit of pipe with rubber.
Just giving a heads up as it would easily catch fire if your exhaust got up to temperature.
