G69/F60 throttle position/idle switch information for future reference

This link is to the UrS4/S6 (AAN) FAQ that I developed on AudiWorld but it should apply to the 3B, ABY and ADU. There are lots of other tidbits in the FAQ that you might find useful as well:

    http://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/207532.phtml

    Hope this helps somebody sometime.

      From Audi World
The throttle body is connected to an electrical device, the throttle position switch (TPS) (aka throttle potentiometer) (PN 078 133 154) that tells the ECU how wide the throttle is open or whether it is completely shut. When it fails (or there is a bad connection) the ECU is confused, the engine will not run correctly and a check engine light (CEL or MIL) is thrown.

      * Click here for more info and a diagram of the inside of the TPS

Same thing. The first link is through the AAN FAQ that I thought some people here might want to investigate.
