Aux gauges

After fitting some dash rings on the clocks in my 2.3 coupe (which I've still got:confused: ) I decided that I would buy another set for the S2. So, whilst on the german ebay site, I thought I'd have alook for some that fit around the aux gauges. I know that Sidspud bought some when he got his dash rings, and he said that they were not a good fit, so I wasn't to hopeful of finding some.
I was reading through a thread on the audifans.net forum and a guy on there said that the bezel around the gauges could be polished. Thought I'd give it a go on the 2.3 first, and hey they look real cool.
Going to have a go on the S2 gauges this weekend, just hope that the bezel is metal, as some of the later ones were plastic apparently.

Not very well The bezel around the gauge on my S2 is plastic. ******---more expensive car---and cheaper materials
Apparently they changed around 93-94, so if you have an early 3B they will probably be metal.
Tis easy to tell between the two.

These are mine - They look OK, but I'm happier with the speedo ones than the auxilliary ones. I'm still trying to find ones for the heater controls. I know they exist, but I can't find the site again!.

Sid, have you got a link to the guy/place you got the aux rings from.???
The guy I got my dash rings from doesn't do them
Have seen what you are lookin for with the rings around the heater controls, only problem is they were in a kit for the whole dash (cig lighter,vents and all) and they sell for stupid money £60-£70:confused: :eek2:

This is the same guy that I got mine from. He only has the dash rings at the moment, but they're all much the same I think.

He doesn't speak English which made it interesting when he shipped one ring short. We sorted things out though with the aid of online translators.
