do you have over 3bar pressure; something are wrong !!!
do you have lot of spraydust in the air: you have to high pressure....
AND : when the colder the air in the garage are; the thinner the paint....( thumbrule... like diesel , or syntet oilconsistens....

I recently bought a HPLV gravity feed gun and I'm happy with the results. You need a reasonable compressor and a moisture/oil trap for decent results. I've used 2-pack for faster results, as cellulose takes ages to build a good coat of paint.

Can you even buy Cellulose or 2 pack any more? I thought that as of Jan 2008 it was water based only.

Yup just bought 5litres of cellulse primer and also got 10litres of various synthetic colours for top coat.
Cellulose sprayed on quite nicely and i've got a HPLV gun as well, been trying to find a larger container pot as its only 600ml which is fine for panel at a time but larger areas take abit more.

I thought the same too, but I found the new regulations are aimed at paint shops that use large amounts of paint. For the DIY end of the market it apears that you can use whatever you like. All the new paints have lower nasties in them.
