In order to save time I decided to change the hot side housing on my GT3076r turbo so that it has the 2.5 inch 4 bolt housing the same as the KKK turbo
Here is the original Garrett outlet with 4 bolt 3" outlet
Taking the hotside off is a doodle. Slacken off the 6 bolts in a diagonal pattern, you will need to remove the oil inlet and outlet flanges and rotate the housing to remove the bolts.
I took a picture showing the original postion of the collars
Put the turbo on a flat surface and slowly remove the housing and you have one turbo as it leaves the garret factory! ( for those that don't know garrett sell their turbos without the hotside and it is added depending on your requirements )
More likey to be less as the kkk flange will be moe restrictive.
The hotside inlet is a T3 flange not KKK.
The output is made for KKK flange but as the downpipe tapers it will be the same as the original hotside as at the base of the outlet of both hotsides they are both 2.5 inch
Next time I will choose a V-band hot-side for easier dismantling of the downpipe. Why again did you choose this 4-bold flange Jamo, jsut to be able to fit a certain downpipe you do not want to rework or something?
