New area for guides on S2central.net

I'm going to try and collate a new area for guides / how-to info at S2central.net.

I want to use a really simple / quick format to reduce the time required to create the docs but also make it easy for everyone to follow. I'm going to do them in MS-Word and then export to PDFs... Then I'll have an index on top which can be searched.

As an example - here is a quick portrayal of how the new guide format will look like with this hastily written up guide on removing the front intake manifold from a V6 TDi engine.

Any ideas / suggestions on making these easier to follow ?

I shall also try to link out as best I can to other useful guide sites - but to speed that process up, if others can post up links here of such useful sites that will be awesome.

And if anyone wants to edit and distill the guides on here into similar PDF format then it would be even better... Having as many 'reference' guides at S2central is a good way of always being able to find good archived info - it can be a nightmare searching this forum for a simple guide through umpteen layers of questions, opinions, banter etc etc

Paul, I think the guide looks good and the template should be easy to use to replicate that.

    Let's write/edit some guides...

    Cheers,

    Steve.

I'll try to quickly formalise a template in MS-Word that can be used by all contributors...

If anyone has more time to add snazzy logos from S2Forum and S2Central then go ahead - as long as they are small, subtle, elegant.

              Looks good paul.

It will be worth putting the direct links into the FAQ area of the forum where we have been collating guides and tips too and linking them through to s2central.

There will be some that will need updating now though if the site structure is changing.
