Central locking plays funny

My central locking starts to play funny.I can lock and unlock the doors only from the boot lock and not from the driver door!!????

Check vacuum pipe to lock hasn't come off in the door iirc

Mine is doing the same but the passenger door also unlocks/ locks the whole car. Drivers door doesnt. Gonna pull it apart this weekend when im not doing my mums peugoet (French rubbish, maniflod, center pipe, brake pipes, handbrake cables, discs, pads.... French rubbish)

After market alarm wired in by any chance? I used to get this all the time until i disconnected the alarm, easy way to fix it was to disconnect the battery for a few mins to reset the central locking.

Had one in and removed before i brought the car. May give the battery off and on thing a quick go after checking the pipes if that hasnt worked.

The pain of working on other peoples cars!

Just thought I would let you all know my pain from working on my mums french rubbish car this weekend! It shouldnt take all day to do the brakes, front and rear, change the hand brake and do most of the flexi hoses and to change the exhaust manifold on any car let alone a french heap! And why did it take 2 or so hours to do the rear brakes on a mk 4 golf????

Also can anyone tell me why 'Allparts told me twice over the last few days they had stock in that i needed and when I went to get it they said they didnt have it??? That also upset me a little. Oh and sorry for the early morning rant!
