S2 look on std 80 avant

Hi All

Just a question, i was wondering if you can fit s2 bumper + s2 headlights to a 80 avant quattro? I am assuimg it is a straight bolt on job as its the basis for the s2 avant..but i may be wrong. Any hint would be great. Some pics below to give you an idea

To me the lights look smaller, and the bonnet looks different. Obviously the bumper too

Lights bonnet, sideskirts, rear bumper, everything will fit to make a s2 rep out the avant

Dont forget, i think the headlamp washers have to work for MOT if they are fitted, the V6 version is basically the same but without the holes & washers.

Part of the look too is also from the wheels. They are 4 stud, so you will have to do a hub conversion i'd say to get 5 stud, it might be worthwhile checking out Project Sooty -

So the bonnet is different too ?

So far then:

S2 headlights
S2 front and rear bumpers
Side skirts
Hubs (5 stud)
avus 16" wheels
and maybe a lowering job of around 25 mm as i think 40mm is too low.

that should about do it.

I cant see how the bonnet is any different?!
You will also need the S2 front indicators and fog lamps

thats what i thought...how can the bonnet be different. I think it just looks it due to the different bumper n lights.

You are right Dest. It is always a choice to make. The problem is that im after a LHD most probably buy one in germany and i was thinking of a 2.6/2.8 quattro avant and them add the s2 original look.

Also the prices of S2 avants in Germany are very high, whereas the 2.3/2.6/2.8 quattros are much cheeper.
