Easy: stop having sex in the car!

I have found that its impossible to stop water going into the car, its not about a leak specifically, think of it like this:

- breath
- wet shoes
- wet jacket
- rain as you get in the car
- and so on...

best thing I have found in older cars, is to buy some big silica gel packs and fix them around the car - one each side in the dash above the footwell, one each under the drivers seats and done!

I use an old pillowcase, with a few bags of cheap white rice emptied inside, depending how damp your car is inside, cheap, effective, sorted my car in a few days!

I have one in the boot and one sitting in the drivers footwell now as it is in the garage for the winter and not being used......... Just to be sure there will be no mold come springtime.

I bought a couple of cheap "mini de humidifiers" off ebay.

They contain silica gel or something similar. They change colour and once they are saturated you plug them in they warm up, evaporating the water.

Quite effective for something like £20
