Oil Cooler

Just in case anyone has their front bumper off in the near future....

I just took the air duct off the oil coller, couldn't believe how much junk had collected in there. Can safely say the cooler was probably acting more like a blanket.

Worth a clean if you have the front bumper off and in the past have been lazy like me and haven't cleaned it out before.

Yep - BTDT after the 1st few months with my car - it probably preceded the days when we had a forum.

I was equally amazed at what looked like a birds nest growing in the air intake scoop - the car lived on a farm before me and had obviously ingested the floaty bits from a passing truck of hay-bails on more than one occasion.

mine should be clear now, seeing as i've just had the cooler replaced

it was leaking badly, price wasnt too bad on exchange shame they found a few faults while the car was up on the ramp
