How do you look after your S2?

Would be interesting to know how different owners take care of their car: ie oil change intervals, top mount replacements etc?

For me I normally do an oil change about 10k or whenever I do the cambelt if its less. Gradually going around maintaining the underbody trying to do a few bits each year, I have most of it done now so its more about enjoying it.

I do about 5k a year and the car is serviced once a year. Have the car waxoyled once every 2 years. I remove the door strips on my rs2 every year and re-grease them to stop any further corrosion.

Oil every 5-10k, everything else as it wears or needs replaced which is pretty much a constant battle. For example this weekend i chased a missfire/rough idle so boost leak tested everything, changed a few injector o-rings that were leaking, cleaned the ISV and MAF connector, removed the plugs and checked over all the ignition bits. Then i swapped out the rear diff which was leaking, fitted a new diff mount, replaced a torn inner cv joint that was spewing grease everywhere. And in the middle of all that i had to unblock the drain in my drive which submerged all my tools and bits of carpet hiding under the car while i was inside having a tea break.

I wish life was as simple as planning a maintenance schedule

Oil n filter every 1500 miles
Full clean underneath every time it's been out if damp/grass/dusty as well as all on top
Check all fluids every time use it and top ad needed/ investigate if dropped any
Check tyres pressures every time out if not used a month (4th car after all)
Other cars oil n filter every 3k
            Plugs check too
            Wax every 3rd wash
            But I m not fussy!

Annually for the oil and filters, which is 2.5k then service items every 10k, (air, spark, brake fluid etc) then friction materials as per spec/wear... Waxed, frequently..., polished annually... Hinges waxed annually, full underside inspection and treated annually... Apart from that... Not a lot....

Me neither, considering the work and parts put into this now shabby old shell and thinking about what it used to be.
