Ok Mike Brewer is a prat BUT maybe this time they might have hit on something to help find those illusive water leaks............

For those that didn't see the DB7 episode they used a smoke machine inside the car and watch for smoke escaping ......... Smoke getting out means water can get in...!!

You can hire a smoke machine for £30 - £40 a day......

My mate is a valeter and uses one to deep clean interiors but it has same effect and shows leakage areas

You can also use an ultrasonic sound source - like the transmit half of ultrasonic parking/distance sensors - and then go around outside with the receive part to see where the sound is escaping.

Same principle, less smelly smoke.

It would actually be a good thing for the forum to own, the amount of cars atm suffering from water leaks is unreal.

My daily (that i'm yet to drive) and my mums car both have leaks that I need to trace.
The 20v q saloon I picked up had no interior hardly and that has a leak somewhere

why not just buy some UV dye and put it in the water?!

ive been doing this for many years

AC dye is a good one to use

oh and i have a VERY expensive smoke machine also for airway, heating and AC leaks

if your in the essex area i dont mind coming to you and checking for leaks with it
