    Exhaust measurements?

I have access to fabricators through work and will produce things for me fairly cheap. I was wondering if any one had dimensions for a 3" downpipe and system for my 3b? Or does someone have a complete system i could borrow so they could copy!

There guys produce things for oil and gas industry and have more weld procedure and qualifications than more exhaust supplies so i don't doubt the quality.

If i get a price i will let everyone know and if there is interest then i could get a load made up.

They can also machine pretty much anything so if there are any requests let me know but will need drawings etc.

    Just a thought. Cheers.

Your best bet is to get it fitted up for the car if you are going for a 3" systems as it is very tight on clearances around the subframe up front and rear driveshaft at the back

I kinda guessed that, may just look at cat back system unless someone would lend me a down pipe to take measurements from.

I would recommend making it up with a car to check on. I sent a drawing for a new downpipe to a custom exhaust manufacturere recently but they were still unwilling to do it without the car, probably from experience of parts not fitting. When I ordered the pipe and bends to make it myself I was grinding and cutting no end to get it right, if a bend is a couple of degrees out it has big consequences down stream.

If you send a pipe as a pattern the cost will go up as they will need to manufacture a jig.
