    Petrol Cap stuck closed? Help!

    Gents,

In short, my coupe (ABY N reg) has been sorn for the past 18 months ue to my work commitments abroad.
The wife has a problem in trying to put more fuel into the tank- the cap is locked by way of the central locking warning light on the dash- small car signal with a key below it.

How would I be able to override this locked fuel flap or alternatively get the central locking to unlock it?

Further info is that the battery needed jump starting and has been driven around the block so to speak!

    Thanks
    Sean

Is there a pull cable or something in the boot area behind the trim, ie the other side of the fuel flap inside the car, to release?

Not sure which fuse it was that reset the central locking, I'm sure there was one. Don't force it though!

The fuse would be in the engine bay's fuse box.

Had this happen to me, it's very easy to get to the catch mechanism all one needs to do is pull the drivers side boot carpet back a bit and pop it open.

Or perhaps a diagram from the service manual?

                  Thanks in advance!
