Group buy mats - how to fit them down on the pegs

Now you guys have the mats, here's how to fix them down to the orange pegs on the floor using early A4 mat fixings.

The A4 had better mat fixings than the S2 ever did, so adapt them to fit the S2 :-) better OE mat fixings that will never move or elongate the hole in the mat.

    Here:

I'm too good to you guys and gals (politically correct see Leigh )

Can you put those clips in the mats upside down? Would it look neater? you wouldn't see the sanded part - Hard to tell from the pics - Look good anyway

I accept your challenge. I shall be raiding the parts bin next week for a better fit. I can envisage a whole selection of mat fixings 'accidentally' being ordered

You mean you dont have orange pegs? Thats an obvious sign that a car is a cut and shut:eek2:

One of my pegs has fallen off and my drivers side mat has a fooking great hole in it!!

Do you have a part number for the fixings? How much do they cost?

                Cheers

Leigh, Martyn's link at the top of the thread shows the part no as 8D0 061 493.

From Audi a set of four is a few pence under £4.

I've ordered them locally as I suspected this would cost Martyn more in labour time than he earned from the proceeds

                    Martyn,

Could you order up some of those plastic clips for me pls??

Or, do you have a part number for them and I'll visit my local Audi stealer...

                    Cheers bud
