Hi to all, Can anybody help me with this question? Who have experience with adjusting solid lifters? 0,35mm or 0,40mm should be? Thank's for any help!!
The first obvious comment is the AAN came with OE hydraulic lifters, i.e. no shims involved.
The next comment would be "What did VW specify for the original GTI engines back in the late 1970's with the "G60" grind cam and solid lifters?"

Really agressive cams would need solid lifters or if you will use high rpm's >8500rpm. You adjust the right clearance with lash caps. Don't know the proper clearance, but if I remember right my friend used something about 0,40-0,45mm.

Thomas, thank you. They are with lash caps. That is why I am asking help and advice))
I thought to make intake 0,30 and exhaust 0,35.
But 0,40-0,45 is for real horse power and up to 800-900hp. Mostly using in time attack, when engine all most all the time is in red line.
Maybe I wrong, but this is what I know)
