    Bumper removal (no pics)

Sorry for lack of pictures but it's too cold to go out of the house and take the bumper off!

First undo the screws on the inside of the wheel arches. Then take the fog lights and indicators out and there are four 13mm headed bolts holding the bumper on, two per side. Slacken these and call someone over to give you a hand. When the other person has hold of the bumper, take the bolts out and pull the bumper forward, you may have to unclip the undertray if fitted. Then remove the washer pipe from the headlamp washers. This can be tricky as the bumper doesn't come very far forward

Thats it really, watch out for seized bolts into the wings at the top. if really bad they can rip the wing out!! Mine did

Or do it the easier way and instead of taking off the 4 bolts(2 on each side), take one off each side(the bolts that are at 90degrees to the other 2) then you don't need anyone else to help as it is still supported.

If your headlamp washer pipe is tight on plastic unions don't risk breaking them and remove washer pump from bottle instead! Ok, so you lose the washer fluid but it could probably do with a flush anyway!
          Hope this helps!

BTDT - pour boiling water over the joint before you attempt to pull it off. Most jobs you can get away with having the bumper still connected and sitting to the side of the car.

@Tom - that's the way I have always done it - you do have to have a fine toothed ratchet though.
