I'm already paranoid about replacement parts being no longer available for my CQ, such as the door seals and windshield. I can't imagine how stressed out I'd be if I had a car/bodykit as rare as that one.

However, it's gorgeous!

I wish somebody was making molds from it to offer knockoffs, er, I mean replacement panels.

But on the other hand if you are successful, you will be saving the model/look/kit from extinction!

Yes, I thought of that one as I posted. But his car is real, so to speak. While Sport Quattro and ur-quattro bodykits look cool like the real thing, they aren't. If I had his car, I wouldn't be rushing to subject it to potential damage.

Regarding risk to his working example, if only there was a way to map the shape of the panels digitally/optically, instead of making a negative mold and all that physical contact stuff.

I don't think I've seen but a couple of other examples online besides Zlobo's, if that. How rare is the C5? Was the bodykit ever offered separately from the actual conversion from Abt?
