Full speed event 1/4 miles.......WINNER!!!!

This weekend I was at zandvoort track for some dragracing.
It was a 2 day event. Day 1 my best time was 11,8 secs. And I was first in the finals.
On day 2 (sunday) there were loads more more cars. So in the morning new qualifings. And my qualification time was 11,7 secs. In the finals there were 5 racers that were indexed under 12 secs.

First run I won from a seriously quick lancer. Second run I had to race an 10.9 sec bigblock with Nitrous Camaro SS. I didn't win it, but nevertheless I had a new personal record in that run. 11,61 secs @ 197 km/h!!!
So I was very very pleased with my second place.

Was this at the Retro Cars show? I saw a Laser red L reg S2 avant do a run. Made me wish I'd gone along in my identical one instead of the wifes Focus. She even gave me some earache saying I could have done a few runs if only we'd come in the Audi. Made quite a difference from her normal attitude at car shows.

That sounds a bit slow. Maybe your starts arent quite right. Or gearchanges fast enough?? Is the car running ok with no boost leaks??

NO, I only got the car last October and I've been trying to sort out the million and one things that were wrong with it. I've just fitted some Bilstein front inserts and a Porsche brake conversion so I'm just about ready for a track day or drag run.

If only I'd taken my car to Retro Cars we could have done a side by side run up the strip. I've supposedly got 280 bhp too so it would have been good to compare times. Maybe next year.
