Nurbugring - Dates

Hi Greg !

Here are the dates for accessing the public racetrack of the Nordschleife.

Maybe we can arrange for a meet for S2Forum members on these dates : 6th of August or else on either the 13th, 14th and 15th of August.

I don't know if you've ever been to this incredible rollercoaster made for cars and I realize that it would be a long trip for those who might come from the UK, but let me tell you that it's definitely worth the trip...
I've actually never came across a car enthusiast who's ever been there once without catching the "RingWorm" ! A much better location instead of the GTI meet, and, if I may add, a more suitable one for S2's to actually demonstrate their Quattro technology and blow the competition away !

For more details, have a look at TopGear's coverage of the Nurburgring Nordschleife where J. Clarkson attemps and eventually succeeds in completing a lap within 10min driving a S-Type Jag Bi-Turbo diesel... but then gets humiliated by a local girl who drives the car for the first time and does the ring in 8,5 minutes !!!

I can also help with arranging free and low-cost accomodations in Belgium for those interested in coming.

Yeah I remember watching that on top gear, was really good. Personally this is off the cards for me certainly for this year since I am buying a house. Ant and some other went over there recently I think.

On the previews of the current series of Top Gear, he's back over there at the Ring with Sabine :mischeif: (sic) and she's taking a Transit van round
Not seen it for the last 2 weeks, so don't know if I've missed it?

I was supposed to be going over there next month with MikeS2 and the AOC, but I've had to drop out through a big lack of funds . Maybe I should learn to drive better Mike's still going though, as he does every year

Lets see the pictures once everyone gets back safely. I havent seen a transit on there in the last couple of weeks though. She is bound to get it around there pretty quick though
