That looks really good mate. Reallt nice smooth torque curve.
I'd never thought a standard S2 turbo could do 324 bhp!
    Congrats chris

I'm just using the 7A exhaust cam and stock inlet cam. Secret is a good re-map

Im not very clued up on this what advantages do the 7a cams give then? How much would i be looking at to have the 7a exhaust cams and where can u get them from? i like the sound of 300hp. Chris is this a reliable 324hp? What i mean is will the turbo be able to cope with it and not blow up on u in the next 6 months? Thanks for your help

The cam is from the 2.3 5 cylinder Audi engine. There's been a few sets knocking bout on here but be quick, they don't hang around long. Yes its reliable power, i use the car everyday and have had no problems with it.

I'd be interested to see what it does on another dyno, heard well lanes dyno is out. The guy did 3 runs to get the power figures. 1st run was 321bhp, 2nd was 332bhp and 3rd was 319bhp.

          Cheers,

Nice curves Chris, but I agree with Porkkis, it looks like Well Lane's dyno is out. At least I hope it is for your K24's sake.

Yeah the dyno could well be out but we were hoping for 300+ 324 may be optmistic but i know since the re-map and other bits its quicker at pickup and pulls stronger through the rev range, epecially higher up. So 300bhp isn't unachievable with the K24.

Very good result Chris. What boost are you running? The same as the generic chips or a bit more?

Boost is same as before, 1.4-1.5 bar.

It definitely has more power than before.

It could be 300 as it is running a LOT of timing as well as boost, to get the power. I agree, it won't be much more than 300. Chrises car has always produced really good figures compared to other cars on more reliable dynos. I'll have to either get my car on the Well Lane dyno or we get Chris to 1 of only 2 dynos I trust in the UK.

Top results Chris! 300+ on a K24 is very decent (I'm proper jealous!). Rolling roads prove that the car is running just right at full load. Fair enough, 324 might be a little high but, if nothing else, it proves that the car is running very sweetly and will defiantely equate to 300+ in the real world. Enjoy!!

Chris' car was the strongest on the rollers with stock turbo in Scotland, IIRC, and not suprised with the figures. If the breathing is sorted out (intake, exhaust, cam) right it makes vast improvements, as shown.

Had a go in my mates' Lotus Espirit the other day. He's had the old exhaust taken off (lots of bends and curves) and a 3" straight through put on. Pulls very well indeed now. According to the manual though those things weigh 1559kg! More than an S2??? Who'd a thunk it...?

Chris - keep me up to date with the Golf m8 - I've bought new underpants ready and raring to go for the test drive.

                            Cheers

                            No more.

Leon TDI 150 run in now.

                            Very slow.

                            Needs a chip.

Star Performance - if you pay full price (not a shootout) Jim is the only person using a dyno that takes his time to get the inlet temps down to ambient before he does a run. He may not have the best cooling but that is a good start. The inlet temps still rise more on the rollers than on the road though. He took close to 4 hours to do 4 cars the last time we went.

Kim Collins dyno has the best cooling I have seen - twin air con units with big blower. The cars get put on and run - but the cooler air can only help.
