      Very Cool!!!

Reminds me of my first car - VW Santana GX5 (Carbed 1.9 5cyl )

I also run an Audi 80 Avant and a Passat Estate - mine's not quite as retro though...

She's up for sale to fund an S2 to replace the 2.0E

Technically I own three as I have another old passat GL5 Auto estate that is a donor car. £32 off ebay. Had to fetch it from Earls Court. Had a right laugh driving it past Harrods and around Marble Arch on a sunny Sunday evening a couple of months back.

I'd love to go for the five pot conversion but it's a ball ache to do it on a 4 cylinder car as all the engine bay mounts and front panel are completely different. Not to mention the chassis legs, front suspension etc. Wouldn't be so bad but most body parts are now obsolete so it would mean cutting them out of the GL5.

Besides it's too eager to wheelspin as it is let alone with 200+ Bhp going through the front wheels and is supposed to be my daily runabout.

I am planning to go the fuel injected route with it though so either an 8v K-jet conversion or 16v engine are on the cards.

KR lump would be ideal A bit of extra poke and nice and easy to drive. Looks sweet with those rims, they are some of the most classic rims ever. Ronal Turbos!! Phat!

Im loving it Ben, if I had more parking spaces I would like an "older" tub to to turn into a spruce mouse.
